New season at Flametree, opens Sept 23
garden sculpture and gallery space

Flametree Art Garden & Gallery is a multi-purpose exhibition space in Coatesville, just north of sprawling Albany. It has been opened by Whitecliffe College of Art and Design graduate Shelley Clement-Chignell who hopes to add to the growing art scene north of the bridge.

“When I first moved here 16 years ago there were very few places to see exciting and inspiring New Zealand art on the North Shore. Now we are lucky enough to be seeing a lot more artists’ studios and exhibition spaces opening up in the Rodney area – the more the better. A beautifully made and intelligently conceived art object lifts your spirits every day. I look forward to bringing a great range of art and ideas to Flametree from artists all over New Zealand.”
