	Fresh Thinking New season at Flametree, opens Sept 23

	Throw off memories of winter. Fresh fuel for the imagination is arriving at Flametree Art Garden & Gallery. Re-opening for the spring/summer season on September 23rd with Fresh: a group exhibition inspired by the colour, light and unfurling beauty of the outdoors. Look for hand-crafted seating, unique and original focal points for the garden and a selection of contemporary New Zealand artists working in paint, glass, wood, recycled metal, ceramic and stone.

	Fresh Greens Marilyn Rea-Menzies

	We are delighted to have a selection of paint and pastel works from Christchurch botanical painter and contemporary fibre artist Marilyn Rea-Menzies. Marilyn has collaborated with many of New Zealand's leading contemporary artists. She has exhibited at Christchurch's CoCA Gallery and the Christchurch Arts Centre. This is a rare chance to see her work in Auckland.

	Fresh Breezes Ellen Johansen

	Southerly (pictured) is one of a selection of new works by mixed media artist and Whitecliffe Collage of Arts and Design graduate (MFA), Ellen Johansen. An American now resident on Waiheke Island, Ellen takes her inspiration from the active geology and land forms, wind-whipped seascapes and island topography of her adopted home.
